I remember meeting Shaw for lunch when he was teaching at the Inns of Court School of Law. He was confronted by a very bolshie student who was causing a lot of trouble. I was very impressed by the diplomatic way that Shaw dealt with the student. The student was Jack Dromey, later an MP and union leader, and husband of Harriet Harman. chair of the House of Commons Privileges Committee.
